easiest way is to get a Layout... and then play around with it and learn how they did it!
To find layouts :
MySpace: Search Google for "MySpace Layouts"
Xanga: search for "Xanga layouts"

not that I know of, but if you would like to add glitter to your site, I would completely suggest www.glittergraphics.us , it has personal site glitter which you could add to your site. Have you googled it?

No there isnt, best advice is to learn HTML, basic tutorials are all
over the internet, I myself learned all my html at the following site:

HTML is fun once you learn it
and alot of profiles have ads in them from websites those people used
