I have both Friendster and LiveJournal --

Friendster is like myspace, with bits of Facebook thrown in. You can personalize your page like myspace (put graphics, change up the background, write comments/testimonials, add video and music, post bulletins, have "featured friends" which is like having a Top 6) but it's like Facebook in that you can see when your friends updated their page (whether they got new comments, added photos, added new friends, etc). Other features about Friendster: you can write reviews about movies, tv, or music and make a blog (I like their blog better than myspace blogs).

LiveJournal is I guess like Xanga. I actually like Xanga better 'cuz you can do other things -- LJ doesn't have the audio, pulse, photos (well, I take that back. LJ has photos, but it's accessed differently.) LJ is really just good for blogging, I think. But if you're into the whole social network thing -- stick with myspace or Facebook... or join Friendster. :)

there is only a limited number of fonts for web pages(Times New Roman, Arial, Geneva, etc.). but you can change the size and color though..

they have to do maintenance on profiles for myspace therefore when its your profiles turn you can't really log into it. They have added alot of new stuff and it does take a while to get everyone's account up to date. Thats the answer I got from TOM.

I used a few different codes on MySpace to hide my URL and it seemed to work, but when I signed out and searched for my e-mail address and found my page and clicked on it, it came up with my page saying that it was private but the URL address was still there. Is there a way to hide the URL address so people can't search for my e-mail, click on my page, and have it pop up? Even though it's private, I have a jerk who keeps checking my page and I want to hide the URL so he can't find it. Some of my family members think that Myspace is "EVIL" in many ways. Where else can you meet someone and then watch as others send them inappropiate comments and suggestive pictures and notes for everyone to read? I myself found it disturbing when the man I dated had his page and never changed his profile from "single and available" to "in a relationship" after we dated for many months. When you are involved with someone your imagination can be dangerous enough, but when you can sign on and see obvious questionable behavior it can be hurtful repeatedly. With all the ridiculous media attention being given to MySpace right now, what is your take on it? I have been a member since November 2005 and I love it! I have run into so many people on there that I haven't spoken to in 7+ years. I do think that the younger people shouldn't be on there because there are some sick freaks out there, but come on now! They're going overboard with it. Creeps have been trolling chat rooms and other things online to find victims and MySpace is no different.

My daughter and my neice both have accounts, and they're totally responsible.

Really, though, the little 14-year old girls who post pics of themselves virtually nude need to have their accounts revoked. Yes, there are predators out there, and they'll find "prey" just about anywhere...Unfortunately, so many on MySpace seem to be inviting them in. Also, it's very clear to me that the parents of these kids need to be more involved. Shame on them for not knowing that their kids have this stuff out there for everyone to see (and yes, I blame the parents in this situation...the kids are just kids, and don't fully understand the impact of their decisions)!

Thats what you call a DIV layout.

They do not use HTML codes but CSS codes which are more difficult to work with. If you google DIV layouts on google you will find premade layouts.

Make sure you read the instructions well though and how to write in them because you can mess it up easily and be really confused on what happened heh.

I think those are DIV layouts.

They are a little more complicated to put on your site. When copying and pasting the code, there is usually one to put in the about me and the Id like to meet. And then you have to put your friend id in certain spots. It should tell you where.

Besides myspace, there's facebook, friendster, orkut, hi5, tribe, linkedin, peopleaggregator, ning...There are also photo-sharing/media-producing types of sites where you can make personal slideshows or scrapbooks and share with friends such as flickr, vuvox.com, scrapblog.com. Well if the password for the email that you use for Myspace is different then your login password for your email then you should be able to keep your email for Yahoo still. But you might need to create a new Myspace account. And you can tell Tom who is the owner of Myspace what happened to your Myspace account so that he can cancel that Myspace account. Just make sure to let your friends know what happened and let them know your new Myspace name. Good luck.

This will be a constant and probably unsolvable problem for you. IE and Firefox both use different rendering engines which means that it will be nearly impossible to get a webpage to display the same in both unless it is extremely simple.

Its because IE and Mozilla both have different standards to follow and different rendering engines too. IE follows it own standards while Firefox/Mozilla follows the Open Standards.

The answer to you question is, Trial and Error. All web designers experience this all the time when design for the web. Browser issues happens all the time.

To point out CSS styling,

- IE 5 below doesn't have a support padding.

- padding in Firefox/mozilla and IE differ a little bit pixel.

- Using % on width and height differs a in both browser.

Possible solution. Just make you div style fixed width, maybe it would help if you are familiar with css.

You can actually have hundreds of people signed into one account at the same time, so that isn't the problem you're having.

My guess is as good as anyone else's at this point, but I'd say it's another typical Myspace malfunction. Don't worry .. they do that a lot. You should be able to login later. Just give it some time.

Nope; when you message via Myspace, it doesn't really involve email, unless you activate the notification email service for message/comment alerts.

But if you want to just change your email address for your current Myspace account [not sure it that's what you're asking], you go to Account Settings and in the yellow field where your email address is displayed you simply click in there and type in the new address, clicking Change afterwards. You don't need to sign up for a new account.

The long way people would know your e-mail on myspace is if you tell them or pit in your profile/blog. My space uses there own system for sending messages to people within there website which doesn't use you e-mail.

There are several ways he can do this, its all harassment and illegal.

You need to see both the police and your lawyer about it and soon. Try to get some evidence to show them if you can, but make the complaint and make sure it gets logged.

OK, here we go;

First, you need to log in and go to Start - control panel - user accounts.

Set up a new limited account.

Set a password on your administrator account.

Put a password on the limited account and use this to access the internet, NOT your admin account.

Next, install a firewall; run AVG anti spyware, Spybot Search and Destroy and an anti virus in Safe Mode.

There's probably a keylogger on your pc. Hopefully one opf these programs will find and remove it.

Next, change all your passwords.

Give the kids the password to the limited account but NOT your admin account.

And finally, set a password on Safe Mode;

He might have installed a keystroke logger on your computer. I don't know if these are crimes in your state or not. Even if they are, chances are there's a huge backlog on computer crimes, and a couple fighting is not going to be high on their priority list. First it would be highly illegal as it is hacking and second if someone hacked into something important say the Federal Mint then our entire couuntry would be screwed. Next time you go to an internet site the auto insert prompt will come up select no and then check the box do not ask this again. That will keep him from getting in and it should keep him out.

A generator just puts a whole bunch of codes into one. Your going to have to find the code for the contact table in the layout code and delete it. Most contact table codes look the same except for the url and that stuff, so look for something that looks like this in the code:
