My myspace page has been hacked by him and now he is threating me about custody with our kids~ i am frustrated and i am tired of him doing these things. i don't wanna lose my children.. how can i report this with out it coming back to haunt me~. i don't understand as many times i change my passwords to all accounts he still gets in~ someone told me there is a website that tells you other ppls passwords and how too hack in them. Is this true?

There are several ways he can do this, its all harassment and illegal.

You need to see both the police and your lawyer about it and soon. Try to get some evidence to show them if you can, but make the complaint and make sure it gets logged.

OK, here we go;

First, you need to log in and go to Start - control panel - user accounts.

Set up a new limited account.

Set a password on your administrator account.

Put a password on the limited account and use this to access the internet, NOT your admin account.

Next, install a firewall; run AVG anti spyware, Spybot Search and Destroy and an anti virus in Safe Mode.

There's probably a keylogger on your pc. Hopefully one opf these programs will find and remove it.

Next, change all your passwords.

Give the kids the password to the limited account but NOT your admin account.

And finally, set a password on Safe Mode;

Don't lose it and don't give it to your kids.

Don't be angry, but talk calmly to your kids and explain that from now on they cannot install software without you checking it first because there h ave been some viruses found on your pc. It may be that Dad is giving the kids 'free software' and thats how he's got the keystroke logger on there.

Here's the software to remove the logger and prevent future attacks;

Go to Start - programs - accessories - system tools - system restore.

Run your anti virus and anti spyware in Safe Mode. To get into Safe Mode repeatedly press the F8 key after the bios screen loads but before Windows loads. You'll know if you made it because the screen will be at 800 x 600 and your pc will be slow.

Then beef up your security. Its easier to prevent malware getting on to your sytem in the first place rather than trying to remove it. All the following programs are free for personal use;

You need to install one firewall.

The Windows firewall doesn't stop malware on your pc from dialling out.

As for your e-mail and myspace, contact your provider and explain the problem, you may have to give details and answer security questions; but set up new accounts and use a nickname.

He might have installed a keystroke logger on your computer. I don't know if these are crimes in your state or not. Even if they are, chances are there's a huge backlog on computer crimes, and a couple fighting is not going to be high on their priority list. If he takes you to court, make it very clear how he got the information. In the meantime, don't do anything to give him information to use against you. What have you got on myspace and Yahoo that is so bad it could lose you the custody of your children???

I can not think of anything that bad in your my space that would cause you to loose your kids. I would call the cops he is breaking the law but you may have to prove that it was him that did it. can you get him to say it and tape the conversation of to e-mail you that he did it

I seriously doubt that there is a website out there that can do that. First it would be highly illegal as it is hacking and second if someone hacked into something important say the Federal Mint then our entire couuntry would be screwed. So I have reservations about it. My question is are you sure he has "hacked" you because hacking takes alot of knowledge about computer code and programming. If you use WinXP then your computer could simply be inputting the passwords in automayically. All he would need is the user name for the site and the password would be put in by your PC. Turn off the auto insert feature. Open up Internet Explorer. Go to Tools%26gt;Internet Options Under browsing history click delete and under passwords click delete passwords. Next time you go to an internet site the auto insert prompt will come up select no and then check the box do not ask this again. That will keep him from getting in and it should keep him out.

Step 3) Seek legal advice if he bothers you again.
