Hi, If I understand you correctly you want to put a graphic on another part of your MySpace page? In 'Edit Profile' you'll see different areas of your profile (i.e. About Me, I'd Like To Meet, General Interests, etc) you can add anything you want in those boxes.

what i did was use the website photobucket.com

you can register for free, and then upload your photos from your computer on to that site - from there you can grab html code or other codes for the photos and copy and paste them into the different areas on your profile... the easiest place to put them is in the 'band details' area.

in photobucket you can also create slideshows and other stuff with your photos and copy and paste the code into your profile by clicking 'edit profile'.

I don't have admin access on my home computer (looong story . . . ) and there's this weird firewall set up (I think it's called Trend Micro PC-Cillin Internet Security 2007) that blocks me from downloading anything off the Internet and viewing a ton of sites. I wouldn't mind all that much besides being unable to update iTunes :(, but I'm also blocked from viewing MySpace. Without knowing the password to change the admin settings / settings for the firewall (I've tried :-( ), is there another website that I can use to view the content of MySpace without actually being on the blocked MySpace website itself, or better yet, simply change the access settings for the website itself? (I don't want to set up an account / log into my old one, merely view the sites of my friends.)

it will try to ping myspace.com and will show you the ip address of myspace.. go to your web browser (IE or FireFox) and type in the IP address.. that may work..

Why don't you create your own account and disable the firewall? Here's what you do (Assuming your running Windows XP):

Restart your computer. As soon as you see the screen that says "Press F2 for boot options" immediately press F8. When you get to a text menu, press F8 again. Select "Safe Mode" and hit enter.

This part determines whether or not you can do this. Click on the "Administrator" account. If there's no password, your in. If there is a password, you're screwd unless you know what it is.

Now, once your logged in, you should see "Safe Mode" printed in all four corners of the screen and you should have horrible screen resolution. Click Start %26gt;%26gt; Control Panel %26gt;%26gt; User Accounts %26gt;%26gt; Create new user account and create an account for yourself. Now restart the computer again (this time don't press F8) and the account you created should be there. Log in and disable the firewall and you're good to go.

I use Thomas Myspace Editor. It's real easy to use, just click the tabs on the top and upload a background you like and then you can customize the colors and things.

just use photobucket, its fast and easy. And registering isn't that complicated. You can preview the section before clicking save all changes.

you can go to www.photobucket.com and sign up its free, after signing up you upload a picture. after that you get the tag, copy and paste it anywhere on your myspace.

yahoo 360 has avatars which i think is the best feature. myspace is probably the best though in terms of popularity and user friendly. although myspace is frequently down. friendster is usually working ok but its just not as cool. there seem to be walls and divisions within friendster. for example, people cant add you as a friend unless they know stuff about you. within 1 month of signing up for myspace, i had over 1000 views of my profile. but with friendster i had 3 views. so it seems like there is less activity on friendster.

It sounds like mybe you have a virus blocker that is preventing your from openieng it.....so either way, you won't be able to open it from anywhere, the page will not load. Try turning off any virus scan or pop up blocker. Some parents block the site for a reason...you might have to go into your system tools and look at what websites are blocked, someone may have put in there to be blocked. you could try to search it in yahoo, and try that, but it sounds like it was manually blocked. yes you can do both..but for different types of font..1st you must have that certain font downloaded on your computer or you will only see the default font..2nd anyone who views your page will not be able to see that font, they will see the default font as well.. such as arial, times roman, etc.; unless they have the font you used downloaded on their computer they will not see it.

Now with colors i'm going to give you a link to true HTML color codes..yes you can just type in the colors name such as blue red white green etc., but it does leave you limited..If you use the true Html color codes, for example #FFFFFF is the code for white, you have a much broader choice for colors.

Far as your codes go

for change the type of font you use the code%26lt;font face="fontname"%26gt; and end it with %26lt;/font face%26gt; whatever is between those will be that type of font.

for color you would do%26lt;font color="#FFFFFF%26gt; and end it with %26lt;/font color%26gt; whatever is between those will be that color.

you can combine the codes as well to look like:

I'm dont use mypsace but I'll assume you're facing the same web layout issues a Yahoo! 360 user would face. Here's what you should keep in mind when working with background images, tables, and text layouts:

1. Most computer users will be viewing your page at one of the following resolutions:

800x600

1024x768

1680x1050 - wide screen

*Well, that's the monitor screen but they might maximize the browser. :-)

2. If you background graphics is smaller than the width or height of the resoluton, it will be repeated until it fills up that width and height. If you can change this by setting the CSS style that forces the background image NOT to repeat.

3. If you are using a table that doesn't specify a fixed width, the table will resize to the width of the browser. Any text or images inside the table will be aligned with this new width. It's best to used fixed with tables when you want things to remain as-is.

4. Font sizes shoulds ALWAYS be specified in pixels. Using points will cause your font size to appear different depending on the resolution.

5. Code to the lowest common denominator if you don't want to create a different page for each resolution type. :-) If you code your page to be viewed at 800x600, it will look good at that resolution or better. Be sure to keep in mind what I said earlier about the repeating background image. If you don't want your background image to repeat, either set the appropriate CSS stype or make the background image width or tall enough so it doesn't repeat. For example,

uhm, well what i think your saying is to move things out of the usual order, change it up a bit. there is a code for that. its called a DIV layout. to do it you have to kow html pretty well. just search on google for it and look at them. dont judge it by the first one you see because ever div layout is different and doesnt have the same things in the same places.

Myspace has been working perfectly fine for me, so it's not the server. Maybe you logged in somewhere else and forgot to log out? That still wouldn't keep you from visiting the site. Maybe it's a firewall problem.

Check with some of the really good HTML coders there may be able to code it so that the picure on the profile covers the original picure....not sure if myspace lets you do that though.

You're not the problem, neither the layout, it's propably myspace, that often happens and if you still want to try you can cut and paste everything on you profile and then put it on a notepad and re paste it again and try to save it again, that works sometimes also. I have had the same issue on quite a few occassions. It's a technical error on Myspace (which can last for days). It's not your computer or the layout code. In the past, I just continued to try to paste it and save the changes along with typing in the captcha code until it worked. It can take awhile sometimes. Also, if Myspace is doing "routine maintenance" on your profile you will encounter this problem!
